Leonardo Fioravanti, Aritz Aranburu, and Natxo Gonzales Made the Most of Hurricane Epsilon

Leonardo Fioravanti, Aritz Aranburu, and Natxo Gonzales bounced from Mundaka to French beachies and huge 30-footers when Hurricane Epsilon sent waves their way.

Hurricane Epsilon did a real number on Europe. Enormous waves lit up the world’s best spots. Nazaré got so big Portuguese officials banned surfing. Mullaghmore might’ve seen the biggest wave ever surfed there. The often-forgotten Belharra served up some enormous burgers. It was Europe’s biggest swell in six years, so suffice it to say that surfers across the pond all have very tired shoulders right now.

Leonardo Fioravanti is one of those surfers. So are Aritz Aranburu and Natxo Gonzales. They, along with a handful of others surfed ridiculously-perfect Mundaka, a pile of 30-foot winter monsters, and those perfect French beach breaks in a week-long mad dash for the best waves they could find.
