Hudson Ritchie (@huddaddy) has one of the sickest styles I’ve seen in and out of the water. I’ve only known this South Bay grom for a couple of months, but in that time we’ve been able to create some pretty epic images and videos. This photo was shot during an impossible morning at El Porto with horrible conditions and awful weather. But it was Huddaddy’s birthday, so we cruised out for a bit to see what we could get. I snapped this slow shutter five right away and was pretty stoked regardless of the crap waves. We probably would've stayed out longer, but a decent sized shark was hanging out close by and he didn’t feel like taking any chances on his birthday. Photo: @CoryGehr

Editor’s Note: #LogDaze is a new series featuring some of the world’s most radical longboard visuals. The eleventh in the series is Los Angeles native and photographer, Cory Gehr.

What I enjoy about capturing longboarding is the fact that regardless of the conditions. You can pretty much always get good images from every session. I also like the less aggressive, laid back lifestyle that typically parallels longboarding.
