#LogDaze: Wave Slidin’ with Lady Logger Lola Mignot
Elegant and effortless in her dance.
This stunning image of Belinda Baggs is one of my absolute favorites. It has inspired me since I started longboarding five years ago. I love how elegantly and effortlessly she moves on the board. It looks like she's dancing. Photo: Dane Peterson
Makala Smith is one of the lady sliders who has become my closest and best friend. We spent the last three years surfing and playing together in Australia, Mexico, and California. She has one of the most unique styles I've ever seen. Watching her surf puts a big smile on my face! This picture was taken by Andrea Coleman and made into a beautiful piece of art by @rivercovey. This picture was taken three years ago when Israel Preciado introduced me to SEEA (@theseea) and Nick LaVecchia in the waters of Sayulita. Photo: Nick LaVecchia
This image was captured a couple of months ago by Woody Gooch when he and I were mucking around on a rainy day at First Point, Noosa. Photo: Woody Gooch
I am so happy this moment was captured by Annie of me and my surf sista Leah Dawson at the Deus contest in Bali this summer. I can´t wait to share more epic times surfing the seas of our beautiful world together. Photo: Annie
I think this photograph taken by Dane Peterson is breathtakingly beautiful. I can see why it made the cover of The Surfer´s Journal earlier this year. Congrats, Sean! Photo: Dane Peterson
Editor’s Note: #LogDaze is a new series featuring some of the world’s most radical longboard visuals. The sixteenth in the series is the wave slidin’ lady logger Lola Mignot.
They call me Lolita. I’m a seventeen-year-old surfer who was born in Paris, but soon afterward I moved to Tahiti. By the time I was eight months old I had already crossed the Pacific Ocean with my family on a sailboat. Since then, the ocean, particularly Mexico, has been my playground, providing endless hours of pure enjoyment. Here are a few of my favorite shots taken over the past few years in various places around the world. Hope you enjoy!
Check out Lola’s epic adventures by following her on Instagram.
