When it comes to waves, Los Angeles is (at least the South Bay) known best for fast closeout barrels. Even during the best winter you’re bound to find plenty of those and get your fair share of sand enemas, but this season has brought an exceptional amount of great waves. We’ve seen a rare number of people actually making it out the proper end of a lot of LA tubes this year, which has been a cherry on top of the consistency of swells.
