This was taken out of a helicopter in Russia that we took to go look for surf up the Kamchatka coast. It was an old retired military chopper that had portholes that opened out and the walls were a half a foot thick or so, which made for this weird silhouette shape here. Kamchatka, Russia, 2012. I currently live on a 36-foot Catalina sailboat with my girlfriend Maddie and travel for a living as a professional surfer. From that avenue, I got into photography naturally by being around some amazing photographers during those trips.
