You can’t submit an application for Luke Davis’ job. There’s no HR department asking for resumes to interview for a position in which you’re modeling, surfing, and traveling the world. In fact, that posting would never make its way to Monster.com anyway, because the second somebody listed such a description, the internet would shut down the site with hordes of travel-lusting wave riders seeking escape.
What we’re getting at here (not that subtly, either) is that the “job” of a modern-day surfer is something any of us would drop any other career aspiration for if given a crack at. A crack at living the life. Luke’s recent exploits in the Caribbean are a bittersweet reminder, shoved in the faces of the wave-starved everywhere. Damn you, Luuuuuke!!!
