One Full Set at Firing Malibu and the Surfing Chaos That Ensues

Here’s a three-minute cut I did from Malibu of a single set, when the first south swell of the season was firing. Surfing chaos ensued at the famous point.

Malibu, as we all know, can be an amazing wave. But most everyone who rides a surfboard knows that, too. So the crowds at one of Southern California’s most classic point breaks can be unruly, to put it mildly.

Case in point: above is a three-minute, quick cut I did that shows just one of the sets from Thursday, March 12, when the first south swell of the season was firing.  I’ll have a full edit out soon but this was too good not to show the world. Enjoy the chaos in a single set.
