Manic Phantasmic is the first surf content from Insight’s newly appointed Venice, California, based team. I produced this video with the creative mind of Director Olivia Wyatt, Insight’s premier surfer Jared Mell, and the phantasmal beauties Jodie Smith, Lauren Brown, and Tiah Eckhardt.
I wanted to conceptualize a video that was a departure from your everyday surf piece and adhere to Jared Mell’s eccentric style that stands alone in the surf world. The Insight brand has a long history of creativity and artistic vision, keeping with Insight culture, we take the viewer on a trip to a phantasmal land full of fun waves, beautiful women and psychedelic visuals.
And thus, Insight presents Jared Mell is Manic Phantasmic. After receiving esoteric directions to consume a piece of Insight, his quest begins.
