Mason Ho and a Sandbar That Only Lasted 12 Hours

Mason Ho loves to surf. Here he is doing what he loves on a temporary sandbar.

When big swells run into the Hawaiian Islands, they pile sand up in different places. Waves change shape and size depending on the sand, and sometimes, on rare occasions, new ones pop up in places in places where they normally aren’t.

But when they do, rest assured that Mason Ho and a few friends (Sheldon Paishon, Kalani Rivero, Makana Pang, Jay Davies, Harry Bryant, Matahi Drollet, and Ryder Guest, to be exact) will be there to surf them. “This specific sandbar lasted only about 12 hours till it was gone and the boys were on it,” Mason wrote.
