Mason Ho is really good at surfing. Impossibly good, really — he’s so good at surfing that, sort of like Clay Marzo, he’s doing something that’s technically surfing, but surfing that no one else could do. He surfs in waves that most people would shake their heads at. He looks at the ocean differently — if a lump of water is moving, he can find a way to get a surfboard on it. And it’s at times like in the video above that he really shines. When backwash is abundant and the weirdness of the wave is at maximum levels.
