Mason Ho Is Ripping Even Harder on His New and Improved …Lost Round Nose Fish

Mason Ho has been loving his …Lost Round Nose Fish. Here, he surfs it at V-Land, a wave on the North Shore of Oahu that he knows like the back of his hand.

Mason Ho has definitely been riding a certain surfboard more than others in his recent clips. It’s a …Lost 1996 Round Nose Fish, a fun little board with a low-ish rocker, a flat-is nose, a slight concave under the front foot, and a vee-tail. A forgiving surfboard that paddles well and surfs better. It’s Mason’s jam right now, and the one he’s on in the video above is a new and improved version. A few tweaks here, a few tweaks there. Nothing major, but it’s the little things that make a surfboard a magic stick.

In his most recent installment, he surfs a wave you know behind his house. It’s his playground, really, and he knows the ins and outs of it as well as you know the ins and outs of your childhood play set. That knowledge pays off in spades, because Mason surfs this wave better than… well, better than anyone else. There. We said it.
