Wendy Worrell Page Is a 70-Year-Old Surfer We’d All Love to Ride Waves With

Wendy Worrell Page was born in San Antonio, Texas, not a place known for waves. But her parents loved to fish, and often took her to the Gulf of Mexico, where she fell in love with riding waves. It was just in her, and it’s become part of who she is. She continued to ride waves for the rest of her life, despite, like most women, having few female heroes to look up to. In 2005, she drove with her husband down to Saladita. Since then, she has been a permanent resident of Troncones, Guerrero, Mexico. This is her story.
