Traveling to the Mentawais, I felt really anxious and excited to just get to the boat. I really didn’t know what to expect, but once we boarded, I was over the moon. I was so excited for what was ahead I barely slept the first night. I woke up before the sun rose the next morning just to get my boards ready, and I could hear waves breaking from an island nearby. I got goosebumps because I was so happy to be in the Mentawais.
