Classic spring day if you're lucky in New Jersey. This does not happen every spring. seeing these drainers run down the beach is pretty rare, but this day was pretty fun. Sunny skies, warm water, and green freight trains coming down the beach. Photo: Ryan Mack

This day was another epic one for the books. Seven-nine feet, hollow as hell, and breaking perfectly on the sandbar. Most were too steep and hollow to get into. As you can see here, this thing is pretty much over-vert. I stalled in the lip to get this angle, then realizing I was going to get sucked over with the lip, I braced for impact. Photo: Ryan Mack

I’ve been shooting photographs for a few years now. The winter months in New Jersey are fun, but very cold, with blizzards that dump four feet of snow and whip up four feet of swell.
