Cloud 9 is usually thought of as perfect. It’s rare to see it at any other time, at least in magazines or on the internet. But early in December, Typhoon Hagupit generated a massive swell off the coast of the Philippines, and it smashed into Cloud 9 harder than nearly anything before it. And although Kyron Rathbone managed to film this one, according to him, it definitely wasn’t the biggest wave that came through.
