Back in May, a swell slammed into Cloudbreak that made things very interesting. Similar to Jaws, Cloudbreak is an incredible wave–it breaks like a smaller wave, only on a much larger scale. San Clemente’s Dane Gudauskas is a tube-hound of the highest degree, and on this particular day at this particular place, there wasn’t anywhere on earth he would’ve rather been. This is his entry into the Billabong Ride of the Year category for the 2017 WSL Big Wave Awards.
