If one is looking for fantastic waves and fantastic culture, there may not be a better place than France. The southwest of France, in particular. Beware, though–it’s not for the faint of heart. Things are there are deceptively pretty, as is the case with most really good waves. Sure, people like Marc Lacomare, Joan Duru, Maxime Huscenot, Leo Fioravanti, Antoine Delpero, Edouard Delpero, Miky Picon, Vincent Duvignac, and Andy Criere might make it look easy, but trust us, those pits can easily become battle axes.
