InertiaHeadshot350My name is Alex Swanson. I was born and raised in Orange County, CA, and I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. I am currently working as an EMT on an ambulance as well as an ocean lifeguard for the City of Newport Beach during the summer, while pursuing a career as a firefighter in Southern California.

I got into photography because I wanted to capture my friends and all the fun things we were doing while growing up. It, in turn, has started many new friendships. With surf photography, I try to capture the surf culture through individuals and what they’re doing at that moment.
