The prospect of swapping my 5/3 for boardies and my nine-to-five for time spent shooting spitting barrels was enough for me to leave my job, sell my belongings and jump on a flight to Nicaragua.

The opportunity swung my way to become the in-house photographer for a luxury surf camp named ThunderBomb. Situated up in the quieter north of Nicaragua, you have a good chance of scoring epic waves all to yourself.

Two months in, and I am relishing every day in this amazing vibrant country and the pumping waves it has to offer. Even more so when I see my friends back home stressing over their jobs and University deadlines. Here’s a selection of my favorite images so far.
