I have a lot of mornings where I will just grab my gear, hop in my car when it’s still dark out, and chase the swell looking for moments. My name is Colin Nearman. I’m from the central coast of California and my passion is surf photography. A road into surf photography can lead to a love for shooting whatever your surroundings let you become inspired by. My goal is to share a thought that is driven by optimism. The possibilities for creativity through images based around our oceans can become endless. I love being in the water–surfing, bodysurfing or just swimming around to appreciate it. I feel like that allows me to admire it for both the intensity but also simplicity you can find being there. That’s what I aim for my photos to portray.
