Elmo Hernández hails from Asturias, on Spain’s North Coast. He started taking pictures with a compact camera, and as soon as he was able to save enough money, acquired a reflex camera. His work relies more on intuition than technique. “Catch it while it happens,” he says. He’s always trying to capture that moment when something remarkable takes place.
