My name is Michael Nee, and I’m 26. I’m an ocean photographer based in France, Vendée. I discovered surfing sixteen years ago and I’ve been shooting for about four years now. I grew up around the world, Senegal, Ivory coast, French Guyana , Djibouti… I really started to surf and shoot in Vendée, a French beautiful surf spot. It’s not Hossegor or the best waves in France, but the atmosphere is amazing – the wave is absolutely perfect when the swell is right, and the people are great. I like action but my photography and inspiration are based on the beauty and the aesthetics of ocean and waves. I’m always looking for a new surf spots, new waves and new viewpoints.
