I did a bike/surf trip around some islands in south East Alaska, we camped out in front of this left point for a few weeks. This photo was taken just before midnight, we would go out every day at this time before sunset at 2AM. Image: Ferraris

I though I was going to get skunked on this trip. On my last night a storm rolled through and the next morning I woke up to this fun right reef break. The tricky part was figuring out how to get out through the reef, eventually followed a fisherman though a channel about a quarter mile away. Image: Ferraris

This is my friend Terry surfing the only sunny day we saw on this trip. We camped near here for weeks and never knew the mountain existed until the clouds clear, a truly awe inspiring sight. And that wave is more than just the icing on the cake, long rippable little wave. Image: Ferraris

This is the beach were I taught my daughter to surf. Fishermen beached their boat at low tide, the kids got out and played soccer and the men walked into town and got gas, they were gone with the high tide.

I surfed the coast of Guatemala a few years back with my wife, we were alone there without another surfer in site. The beaches there are seperated from the mainland by mangroves, not a lot people go there. Image: Ferraris
