Haiti. Emiliano Cataldi at a south coast rivermouth. Haiti's southern coast abounds with rivermouth spots, gravel bars that hold size and shape on the consistent windswell from the Caribbean Sea. Local village children came out in droves to watch when we surfed this spot, hanging out on the beach screaming their appreciation (or derision) in Kreyol Ayiti dialect and gathering coconuts for apres-surf food and drink.
