Not long ago, Rob Machado released his latest surfboard model in association with Firewire, affectionately named after his home break: “the Seaside.”
All manners of alternative shape enthusiasts and style gurus collectively swooned. And we did, too!
Little did we know what a stretched-out version of the shape is capable of. Helmed by a goofy-footed smooth operator is akin to a wine and cheese pairing so idyllic it’d make a French sommelier with a sensitive palette blush.
So, without further ado, we give to you a brief edit from last fall complete with Rob Machado ripping on a long-form version of one of his most popular shapes. We thought we wanted to order one before, now we’ll take two. One standard and one in the 7-foot-plus range.
