Rob Machado has been on the scene for a long, long time. Long enough to grow all that hair, after all, and he’s got a lot of hair. There have been a few different Robs, and they’ve all been oozing with style — the guy who competed, the guy who didn’t, the drifter guy who was sad. And there was the Rob that you see above, the one who was in Taylor Steele’s Castles in the Sky. Remember that one? In it, Rob Machado and Pete Mendia (there’s a bit of Clay Marzo in there, too) head to Peru, took the train to Macchu Picchu, wove baskets in the floating village of Titicaca, and even surfed the ancient Peruvian reed matt.
