Rocky Point is a hell of a good wave. Just down the beach from Pipe on the Seven Mile Miracle, it’s a staple of that famous stretch of sand. Winter is just around the corner, and the summer doldrums are quickly fading in the rearview. With any luck, the coming winter will bring a whole pile of good waves, but for now, let’s have a look at the first real swell to light up Rocky Point in a few months. Early season swells generally make for weird conditions, jumbled up by strong winds and a lot of sand… but still, even at its funkiest, Rocky Point is, as I said, a hell of a good wave.
