Shipsterns Bluff is no joke. The steps alone in the Tasmanian wave can make even the best surfers tremble. And that’s when you’re towing. Try paddling in at 12-feet, jumping to your feet, only to navigate those same steps. Tim Bonython was there to capture all the action as Russell Bierke, Nathan Florence and more charged the often-unruly slab that regularly threatens lives. It was an action-packed day to say the least.
