One of the largest swells in the past 15 years hit the West Coast on Friday January 6, 2023. Thanks to surf forecaster Mike Durand with Swell Magnet for helping me sort out where to go. I was torn between Rincon and San Diego and opted to go where it would be biggest. The deep-water spots of San Diego went richter.
