Santa Babylon: 15 Images From the Utopia of Right-Hand Point Breaks

The last few months have been a great time to be in California.

Offshore and steel blue, another pulse of West swell implodes unridden in Santa Babylon. Photo:

I was completely surfed out from the last month of non-stop swell at my local break. I was tired of paddling thirty minutes back up the point for each wave. But, still, the cobbled points of Central California were calling my name like some pulsing wave siren. So I made sure batteries were charged and the film was loaded. I then packed the van, made the some calls to a few local shredders and hit the road, bound for Santa Babylon. These are a few moments I managed to capture in between burritos, point run arounds and endless, peeling lines.
