For the unacquainted, Asturias is a region in Northern Spain. Its coastline stretches for more than 300 kilometers and is full of beachbreaks, reefs and river mouths. Almost in the middle of that is Salinas, a huge beach that gets all possible swells. A definite summer spot, it also lights up during mid-size spring/autumn days.

Yes, it’s pretty crowded sometimes. But if you avoid the high tide and find a nice little peak somewhere, you can enjoy a solo session. Quiet and relaxing. And that’s what Jaider Lozano looks for – beautiful waves mixed with special light conditions.
