From Huntington Beach to North County San Diego, protest movements have begun to pop up against the closure of public spaces. An eclectic mix of surfers, runners, fishermen and outdoors people gathered in Encinitas, California this weekend to protest beach closures that have been in place for weeks now. Opinions are definitely split down the middle on the subject of whether surfing or other outdoor activities can spread the COVID-19 virus, which made protests particularly prickly in the area.
