When my brother Tucker and I decided to head to California this Summer we didn’t realize how good of an idea it would be to drive. But in the week before our trip I came across an instagram account called @coloradosurfsupply. The account was filled with guys surfing the rivers of Colorado, directly off of Interstate 70 – the same road we would be taking to California. After dozens of ‘likes’ and multiple comments dropped I finally got a response from a guy named Dan who invited us out for a session in Colorado, an experience very few East Coasters have had. 1,800 miles, 50 Starbucks stops and more than 30 hours in the car later we arrived on a brisk morning to fulfill our dream of river surfing, and this is how it all went down.
