Mostly what I do these days is build video clips in Final Cut Pro. Slater’s clip was always going to be one of the last ones I made before launching the site; the hope was that my skills would be more up to the task. Lined up a metric ton of good footage covering Slater’s 2010 title run. It was daunting, actually, how much stuff there was. But once I found the song, everything seemed to magically drop into the FCP timeline, one piece after the other, I just stood by, finessed a couple edits, twiddled the levels a bit, grabbed an early lunch. Sometimes it’s that easy.
