The Epic Finale of the 2013 Billabong Pipe Masters

The final day of the 2013 Billabong Pipe Masters took place in 15-18, occasionally 20, foot waves with both second and third reef breaking. At the end of the day, Mick Fanning got what he needed to hoist the ASP WCT trophy and bask in the accolades of his third world championship.

The final day of the 2013 Billabong Pipe Masters took place in 15-18, occasionally 20, foot waves with both second and third reef breaking. Mick Fanning was in the driver’s seat all day as he systematically destroyed competition until he met his maker in John John Florence in the semifinals. Though it was Kelly Slater who bested everyone and raised his seventh Pipe Masters trophy. Regardless, Fanning got his and basked in the accolades of his third world championship.
