The Seasons Are Changing: Autumn on the East Coast

The first day of fall on the East Coast went off with a bang. These photos are a testament to the wave we get here in Autumn, and I love every single day I’m out there.

Throw it back to Independence Day. Hurricane Arthur, July 4, 2014. We got hit hard in Cape May. We were first with the swell and I was on it. The shorebreak was insane and one of the best I've ever seen it. I was actually watching the sets and doubting it before I went in. I'm glad I did because it was awesome. Expect for me getting kicked out by lifeguards after 3 hours of me hiding in the shore break. Little do they know but I would be saving them if they came into the ocean. Photo: Matt Ciancaglini

My name’s Matt Ciancaglini. I’m an amateur wave/surf Photographer from the southern most point of New Jersey. I mainly enjoy shooting shore break. I don’t know, why but I’m fascinated by it. I only started shooting a year ago, when I purchased my first DSLR. I never knew anything about photography, so I taught myself everything I know, and I still have so much to learn. One thing I have learned, though, is that I absolutlely love it.
