I am a 14 year old aspiring photographer from San Diego. I have been shooting for about a year and a half now, and am really beginning to incorporate photography and video into my everyday lifestyle, shooting whenever I can. I take many trips to Baja and recently just got back from Mainland Mexico with Jojo Roper and Rusty Long.
Whenever there’s a good swell my parents let me skip school, which helps a lot. I shot Kelly last winter when I went to the North Shore and stayed with my Uncle (Jack Johnson). There wasn’t much swell during the week I was free, so I decided to focus on the people rather than the waves. Jack and Kelly grew up together, so when my uncle asked if I wanted to go to Kelly’s house with him I was stoked. I ended up staying the whole day at Kelly’s, waiting for Ehukai to look decent and shoot water photos. I eventually asked him if we could take some portraits. He gladly said yes.
