It’s hard to comprehend because we haven’t really seen anything like it before. This was the first year of the foil division in the iconic Molokai2Oahu race, in which Kai Lenny absolutely crushed the crossing in under three hours. But all of the athletes riding foils crushed it–and then had their souls crushed as they had to paddle the current-filled flatwater into the landing.
