You probably aren’t familiar with the name John Michael Van Hohenstein. You might be familiar with his surfing, though, because a few weeks ago a video featuring him and a few others kind of blew up. Hohenstein’s a Waikiki regular, which means, of course, that he is a fantastic longboarder and a fantastic crowd navigator. Here he is channeling his inner Waikiki beachboy at Canoes on August 22.
