Nathan Florence has surfed lots of big waves. Big waves all over the world. Most, we’d guess, of the best big waves on the planet. We’d also guess that he’s surfed those big waves on swells that are basically perfect for the joint, which means that he’s likely surfed most of the biggest waves in the world on some of the best swells. Take, for example, Maverick’s. In the video above, Nathan says that this is the biggest he’s ever surfed there. It was back in December of 2018, and if your memory is long-ish, you probably remember it. It was the day after the Maverick’s Challenge didn’t run. It didn’t run because it was well and truly HUGE. It wasn’t exactly surfable, though, but what a difference a day makes and the day in the video above? Oh, it was big. Very, very big.
