Evolve: Sean Davey’s Transformational Moments

We put it out to The Inertia’s influencers and most talented contributors to share moments that caused significant personal growth and transformation – ideally with some relation to surfing, but also to life in general. This are a few of Sean Davey’s moments.

This was the first time that we went to Shipsterns Bluff with Kieren Perrow, Mark Mathews and Drew Courtney. We had just driven a couple of hours and walked a half hour uphill through the forest to come out on top of a very high cliff, with Shipsterns a faint view in the far off distance. It's at this point that we all began to ponder the further 2-2.5 hour hike in to the bluff. We were all looking at it, wondering if it was big enough. Then Kieren said "We come this far, haven't we?" I thought "yeah, he's totally right." How could you walk away from this, anyway. You'd have to have a look… I've always remembered that moment when encountering any situation that is remotely like it. Photo: Sean Davey

We’ve chosen to focus our relaunch around the theme: EVOLVE. Transformation is core to who we are, and we put it out to The Inertia’s influencers and most talented contributors to share moments that caused significant personal growth and transformation – ideally with some relation to surfing, but also to life in general. These are a few of Sean Davey’s moments.
