The first few days of the Volcom Pipe Pro were a little rough, to say the least. The ocean around the North Shore was battering the Seven Mile Miracle from every direction except the right one. When everything cleaned up enough for the contest to be run, it was held at Gums, a beach break about on the other side of Pipe’s channel. Day two, however, was a different story. Eight-to-twelve foot bombs began rolling through yesterday, and Pipeline was back in the limelight, just where she likes to be. This is the Volcom Pipe Pro, Up ‘Til Now.
