It’s no secret that Balaram Stack likes to fish. And not just with rod and reel. He likes to go deeper, chasing fish with gun and spear. Peruse his Instagram page and you’re sure to see plenty of evidence to support that. The man also likes to surf, which he did very well last month, winning the Vans Pipe Masters. Well it looks as though he’s still hanging around the North Shore, and this week, he got up close and personal with a couple of sharks on the reef after spear fishing (see above).
“Taxmen trying to get @edenedwards‘ toes out front yesterday,” Balaram wrote. He’s wearing the dive suit. And a scroll through the post shows that he definitely scored. Which may explain why the “taxmen” were circling. It looks as though it was right at Pipeline (or very near). Always a thrilling way to end a good fishing trip.
