Chicama is all about speed. To make it all the way from the point to the beach it helps to have some unconventional shapes in the quiver. Our tools of the trade included a Wegener Alaia, Mini Simmons and a super rad foam Alaia hybrid called the Bluegill.

Purveyors of all things aquatic, the team at Waterlust recently explored Puerto Malabrigo, Peru, home to what some consider to be the longest wave in the world. The break itself, known as Chicama, is a freakishly long left-hand point that can deliver rides for well over two minutes.
