I recently had a great opportunity to explore Pismo Beach, California during the WSL’s Longboard Classic. There was also a rare king tide event. Oh, and some epic surf. Albeit with some really rowdy conditions.
The road trip to Pismo Beach was great. It was just coincidence that the contest fell on the same weekend as the tide event. I checked out the town but the rowdy waves definitely stole the show. Malia Ilagan and Cole Robbins ended up winning the event, which turned out to be a really good one. Have a look at what I saw.
