Add kayaks to the list of things we wouldn’t want to be on when a great white shark is on the prowl. Or maybe all that plastic is the perfect thing to have between you and the ocean’s apex predator? This young Aussie fisherman was about a mile off shore in his kayak when a four-meter great white cruised by to check him out. His friend on drone duty captured the entire incident on video but was too far away to do anything but film. Maybe one of these drones with a pellet gun would have made more sense to scare it off? And while Australia is experiencing a really rough year as far as shark attacks go, running into great whites in the ocean is like seeing a bear in the mountains – if you spend enough time in the sea, it’s going to happen, and more often than not, it isn’t going to end in an attack.
Kayaker Recalls Close Encounter With 4-Meter Great White While His Friend Filmed With Drone
