The human spirit is an amazing thing. It can triumph over all sorts of hardships, regardless of what is thrown at it. La Cumbre looks at living as an amputee, and what it means to triumph over the odds that are often stacked against one. The film focuses on Kathy Pico and other amputees as they climb Cayambe, one of the tallest volcanoes in Ecuador at 18,996 feet. Working with The Range of Motion Project, the film captures that human spirit beautifully.
