Austin Smith pretty much grew up in Bend, Oregon. Wind lips and backwoods kickers, he knows every inch of Mt. Bachelor. In Life Beyond Walls–a web series from Smith–Austin shows Louif Paradis around his home mountain, every piece of natural terrain. And Louif gets a real Bend welcome when he experiences the Dirksen Derby, an early season, rootsy festival held at Bachelor each December, which our own JP Schlick wrote about.
