Nature isn’t always the nicest. It’s an unfortunate reality that in order for things to live, other things must die. Fur seals, for example, are the tastiest of morsels to a great white shark. Imagine how delicious a furry little blob of fat must be to a hungry shark? Despite the difference in size, however, fur seals off the coast of South Africa have figured out a way to fight back: strength in numbers. Sure, one solitary pup can’t fight off a massive great white, but when they all work together, the shark decides it’s just not worth it.
