Orca whales are incredible creatures. Contrary to what seems to be popular belief (in Southern California, at least) they pose no danger to humans. There’s never been a recorded fatality by a wild one. Of course, there are those SeaWorld deaths that Blackfish covered, but those orcas were a different story.
The video above comes from Robin Léveillé, a director of photography from Vancouver, BC. Orcas aren’t an uncommon sight in those waters, but no matter how many times you see them–especially if you see them up close–it never fails to amaze.
